A continuación os presentamos la traducción del manifiesto original de COPENHAGEN CYCLE CHIC al que Madrid Cycle Chic se adhiere:

0. Elijo montar en bici de una forma elegante en cada una de las oportunidades que tenga
0. Me acojo a la responsabilidad de contribuir visualmente a un paisaje urbano estéticamente más agradable.
0. Soy consciente de que mi mera presencia en dicho paisaje urbano inspirará a otros sin que esto me etiquete como “activista pro-bicicleta”.
0. Voy a montar con gracia, elegancia y dignidad.
0. Elegiré una bicicleta que refleje mi personalidad y estilo.
0. Sin embargo, consideraré mi bicicleta como un medio de transporte y un mero suplemento a mi propio estilo personal. Permitir que mi bicicleta me eclipse es inaceptable.
0. Me esforzaré para garantizar que el valor total de la ropa siempre exceda a la de mi bicicleta.
0. Personalizaré mi bici de acuerdo con normas de cultura de ciclismo urbano. Ideas como protector de cadena, pata de cabra, guardabarros, guardafaldas, luces, timbre, transportín, cesta, etc.
0. Respetaré las leyes de tráfico.
0. Me abstendré de usar cualquier tipo de ropa ciclista reconocida. La única excepción: el casco – esto está sujeto a libre elección personal

The Original Cycle Chic Manifesto from Copenhagen Cycle Chic.

We present to you The Copenhagen Cycle Chic Manifesto.

0. I choose to cycle chic and, at every opportunity, I will choose Style over Speed.
0. I embrace my responsibility to contribute visually to a more aesthetically pleasing urban landscape. 
0. I am aware that my mere prescence in said urban landscape will inspire others without me being labelled as a 'bicycle activist'. 
0. I will ride with grace, elegance and dignity. 
0. I will choose a bicycle that reflects my personality and style. 
0. I will, however, regard my bicycle as transport and as a mere supplement to my own personal style. Allowing my bike to upstage me is unacceptable. 
0. I will endeavour to ensure that the total value of my clothes always exceeds that of my bicycle. 
0. I will accessorize in accordance with the standards of a bicycle culture and acquire, where possible, a chain guard, kickstand, skirt guard, fenders, bell and basket. 
0. I will respect the traffic laws. 
0. I will refrain from wearing and owning any form of 'cycle wear'. The only exception being a bicycle helmet - if I choose to exercise my freedom of personal choice and wear one.
